Accuracy

I know people are concerned about the type of tubes that will be used and how accurate the finished product will look.

First, I want to confirm that it will be possible to swap the tubes on the Divergence Meter. The type of tubes that will be used is yet decided, but we will do our best to offer the closest possible size and design to the "Real" Divergence Meter at a low cost. 320$ just for the tubes is a lot and not an option for everyone, if enough of you want the "Real" tubes we will consider buying them in bulk for a better price. On that note, the tubes we ordered for the prototype are very similar to the ones used in the popular DM from Youtube

Right now, we are focusing on getting all the hardware and code working, the accuracy of the finished product will be determined after we get the prototype working.

Voting in the poll is a great way for us to know what you want.

I will post some pictures once I receive the equipment and parts for the prototype.

Again if you feel you can contribute to this project, email me at: SteinsMeter@gmail.com

  1. I honestly think as long as the tubes are a decent size and can produce decimals (since some tubes lack that feature) it should not be a problem. IN-8-2's are the one that was used in the video above and if they are a cheaper variant compared to the IN-18's then go for it.

I hope for the best of this project and I am looking forward for the prototype. Good Luck!

  2. IN-8-2s are definitely cheaper that IN-18s, but the Tubes we are most likely looking at are IN-14s. They are cheaper, more readily available and almost identical to IN-8-2s (The digits are the same size)
